Im Oktober 2020 stellte die Regierung 9.287.603 $ aus dem Wachstumsfonds der Provinz bereit, um 34 Marae zu modernisieren und 388 Arbeitsplätze zu schaffen. Im Oktober 2018 wurde angekündigt, dass die Regierung 8,5 Millionen Dollar für das Projekt ausgeben würde. Im Oktober 2019 gab die Regierung bekannt, dass sie 7,9 Millionen Dollar ausgeben wird.
